United Kingdom Customers

1. Posting

In the United Kingdom we send all music, compact discs and accessories by First Class Post (unless the weight of the package makes it more cost effective to send by courier).  We charge a 70 pence handling charge on top of the cost of the stamps (this covers the cost of the envelopes, packing and processing).

Instruments are sent by ‘next day’ courier service for destinations within mainland UK, ensuring a safe reliable delivery by 1pm.  We charge £10.00 for this service and it is available for delivery Monday to Friday.  A timed service or Saturday delivery is possible by prior arrangement but is considerably more expensive.

Instrument deliveries to Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands are by Registered Post, the charge is dependent on the parcel weight.  Please note that this service is not guaranteed next day delivery.

2. Paying

We accept all Credit and Debit Cards.  The details we need depend on the type of card but as a general rule we need as much of the following information as possible:

Card Number
(On a Switch card this is the large number across the middle of the card, not the small number along the bottom)
Card Expiry Date
Card Issue Number
(most Switch cards have this)
Start Date
(some Switch cards have this instead of an issue number)
Security Number
(the last three digits on the back of your card for any card)
Cardholder Name and Address
(This will, of course, be the same as your name and address, unless you are using someone else’s Card. – we assume you have their permission!)
Delivery Name and Address
(if different from above)
Telephone number
(for preference this should be a daytime number in case your card issuer queries the transaction)

We charge your card on the day of despatch, a receipt is sent with every delivery.  Goods not sent, i.e. items placed on ‘back order’, will not be charged for until in stock and sent.

Due to the increased costs of debt collection, payment by return (i.e. by cheque) is only available to regular customers having proven record of reliability, otherwise a cheque in advance is required.  If you wish to pay by cheque please contact us first to find out the total cost, including postage.
